Since 1994, the Australian Rural Education Awards (AREA) have been awarded annually to an individual, institution, organisation or industry to recognise excellence in rural education in Australia. Category winners will be announced at the National Conference for Regional, Rural and Remote Education and receive a trophy. Runners up receive a citation recognising their achievement. All winners, runners up and selected nominees will also be featured as 2022 “Excellence in RRRE Case Studies” on the SPERA website.
Submissions for 2022 AREAs are open until 01 September 2022 and awards will be announced at the National Conference for Regional, Rural & Remote Education conference dinner in Barossa Valley on the 13th of October 2022.
