Bush to Boardroom

Bush to Boardroom is a leadership journey shaped by life on the land and tested in the boardroom. Drawing on a childhood spent in rural Australia, Tim Arnold shares the timeless lessons the bush teaches about trust, resilience, integrity, hard work and leading people through uncertainty. His stories connect the practical wisdom of the paddock with the challenges of modern leadership, showing that the principles that build strong farms are the same principles that build strong teams, organisations and communities.

As the founder of Bush to Boardroom and Director of Free Agency Education Recruitment, Tim delivers engaging, authentic presentations that blend powerful storytelling with practical leadership insights. Audiences leave with simple, memorable lessons they can apply immediately—because great leadership isn’t built on titles or status, it’s earned through character, consistency and the decisions we make every day. His message is simple: the best leaders never forget where they came from, and every decision leaves tracks.

Centre for Regional Education Research Development

The Centre for Regional Education Research Development (CRERD) – part of the Institute of Education, Arts and Community – was established in 2025. The Centre’s researchers work with a range of organisations to support the Victorian Government’s 2025 education targets: learning for life, happy, healthy and resilient kids, breaking the link, and pride and confidence in our schools.

CRERD’s goal is to establish applied, research-focused partnerships with education services, providers and organisations (including early years, school and community) to advance educational opportunities and quality in regional and rural communities and help address current and future education sector challenges, including workforce recruitment, retention and access to education and professional learning opportunities.
